Six participants have now been confirmed for the tournament.
At least one wrestler from the WWE main roster will compete in the NXT Global Heritage Invitational tournament.
Today it was revealed that Butch would take part in the Global Heritage Invitational. The goal of the competition is to choose a challenger for Noam Dar for the Heritage Cup Championship at NXT No Mercy.

The first six players for the round-robin competition have been announced: Tyler Bate, Joe Coffey, Butch, Duke Hudson, Charlie Dempsey, and Nathan Frazer. There will be a total of eight wrestlers competing, split into two groups.

Group A includes Butch, Bate, and Dempsey. A member of Group B is Coffey, Hudson, and Frazer.
Here is the complete list of tournament rules:
- In a round-robin tournament, there will be two divisions consisting of four wrestlers each.
- There is a 12-minute time limit on matches.
- The value of pinfall and submission victories is two points. A stalemate will result in each wrestler earning one point.
- Tuesday pits the champion of Group A against the winner of Group B.
The victor of the match on September 26 will challenge Noam Dar for the Heritage Cup on September 30 at NXT No Mercy.
On Tuesday, the invitational tournament will begin on NXT.
Butch wrestled on SmackDown last night, losing to The Street Profits alongside Ridge Holland. It was advertised as a hardcore tag team match in memory of Terry Funk.
