Jorge Masvidal, the former UFCBMF champion, recently entered a plea in his assault case against Colby Covington.

Masvidal entered a plea of misdemeanor batter on Monday, November 6th in Miami-Dade county, as we previously reported. Two felony offenses that might have resulted in a $10,000 fine or 15 years in prison were dismissed in return for his plea. Masvidal was consequently given a sentence of time served and ordered to reimburse the case’s court expenses. Masvidal delivered a statement outside the courthouse prior to his in-person appearance for the sentencing.

However, it seems that these men are far from done with one another.

Jorge Masvidal threatens to knock the rest of Covington s teeth out

Outside the courthouse, Masvidal was conspicuously unapologetic, stating, “**** you, Colby, it’s going to be a ****ing movie now.” It’s going to be a ****ing movie; all these directives, all these restraining orders, all these things have been lifted. God bless you, Brad. Thank you. This guy right here is the one to call if you get into any problems, huh? I am informing you. In this ****ing courtroom, undefeated.

Masvidal further up his disparaging remarks against his former training partner and friend in a more recent interview with theMMAHour, including a direct threat this time.

Masvidal stated, “I don’t know when, but Colby and I are going to see each other at some point” (transcript via MMA Fighting). We will see each other for his lying on my name, for him f****** pressing charges, for all that he has f****** done, whether it’s in a f****** cage or I have no idea where the f*** it will be. It promises to be enjoyable. It promises to be fascinating. I will strike the remainder of his f****** gritted teeth. Two of his f****** fake-ass teeth fell out, thanks to me.

Three misdemeanors and three felonies! Oh, motherf*****, f*** you. You are an asshole. Given my three felonies, you know, I would never have been able to work again. I was afraid for my life, you know. [Knowing smile].

Jorge Masvidal said, “He should have never brought up my kids.” I warned him not to raise my children because you will face different issues for the rest of your life. I told him this before, during, and after. Even though I’m retired, fighting continues to be the most enjoyable activity I’ve ever engaged in.

Therefore, I’m all for it if I get the chance to whoop someone’s ass who has gone too far. We can get down every time we see each other. The one distinction is that I will never f* the cops or other individuals. This f** state-sponsored snitch-b, who claims to be a guy and a patriot, is actually a fluid-gender b. How absurd.

If Covington decides to pursue a civil lawsuit in addition to the criminal accusations, remarks such as these could be particularly detrimental for Masvidal in a civil court, according to Combat Sports Laws Erik Magraken’s tweet.

Colby Covington getting set to fight Leon Edwards

Colby Covington is continuing his professional career in the meantime, as he is set to compete in UFC 296 against UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards.

In an interview with James Lynch from September, Covington stated, “I love fighting southpaws, and it’s a great matchup” (transcript via MMA Fighting). He is delaying this rematch because he knows it will be the most difficult stylistic battle of his career; for me, it’s simply another match, another major pay-per-view main event. The last time I engaged in a f****** three-round preliminary bout, unlike some of these other jerks who yell my name, is beyond me.

It’s going to be a terrific stylistic battle between southpaws, and I don’t think he can match my versatility. He will be wondering the entire time whether I’m going to strike or take him out. Do I strike him or am I taking him down? I’m coming to blow this dude’s mind with my finishing and submission skills now that I’m a black belt under sensei [Daniel] Valverde. Come December 16 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, he isn’t going to last 25 minutes.
