The New Gate, a light novel series by Shinogi Kazanami, will soon be adapted for television as an anime, with a website launching on Thursday. The website revealed information on the primary cast and staff in addition to the teaser image for the anime.

Yokohama Animation Lab and Cloud Hearts director Tamaki Nakatsu, known for Eyeshield 21: The Phantom Golden Bowl, is in charge of the anime. Hiroki Uchida, whose credits include games such as Gamers! and The Strongest Sage With the Weakest Crest, is in charge of the series writing.

Character design work is left to the skillful hands of Itsuki Takemoto, who has directed animation for popular games like Naruto Shipp den and Kan Colle. Misaki Tsuchida, Tsugumi Tanaka, Y ya Mori, and Tatsuhiko Saiki work together to create the musical atmosphere.

The manga version of the novels has been licensed by One Peace Books, who will release it in print and digital formats. The 12th compilation book is officially scheduled for physical distribution on February 6th, and anticipation is high. One Peace Books gives a detailed description of the manga’s first volume, which tells the story of how an online game turned into a battle for survival and tells the account of Shin’s heroic efforts and an unexpected turn of events that propels him 500 years into the future.

The artist responsible for the manga adaptation of the light novels, Yoshiyuki Miwa, has illustrated the joyous announcement. The story started in 2013 on the Sh setsuka ni Nar website and was later published in hardcover by AlphaPolis in December of the same year.

The story was taken down from Sh setsuka ni Nar in August 2016 by its author, Kazanami, and made available on AlphaPolis’ website. Published in September 2022, the 21st novel volume is a tribute to the everlasting narrative.

If you like the rich fantasy and game components in Shinogi Kazanami’s The New Gate light novels, you might also enjoy checking out related series like Sword Art Online or Log Horizon. The characters of these anime all navigate virtual worlds, face obstacles, and discover engrossing stories. Fans of The New Gate will probably appreciate these games just as much because they combine adventure, strategic gameplay, and complex storylines.

On February 28, Kazanami’s manga voyage, which was first illustrated by Yoshiyuki Miwa and published on the AlphaPolis web manga site in November 2014, celebrated the release of its 13th volume, which delighted readers who were itching to explore the fascinating world of The New Gate.
