UFC 295 will be Jessica Andrade s fifth fight of 2023
Strawweight fighters Jessica Andrade and Mackenzie Dern, who are both going through difficult divorces, will square off in UFC 295; both women have been shunned by society.
Andrade talked candidly about what has been driving her hectic fighting schedule in 2023 leading up to UFC 295 in her interview with the Troca o Francapodcast.
Andrade stated on the MMA Fighting sTroca o Francapodcast, “This year I went through a divorce that cost a lot of money to pay for lawyers and other things here and there, so I ended up taking five fights.” God willing, it will end this year, and then I’ll be all right. That’s why I got into five fights in 2023—the reason being the divorce. In Brazil, I had to pay a lot of money to lawyers since there is an excessive amount of red tape.
Andrade has already discussed the financial effects of her divorce.
He previously disclosed last year that Jessica was paid in advance by the UFC to assist her in getting out of a tight financial situation brought on by her divorce and her ex-wife’s mismanagement of her finances.
Andrade did a stint as an adult performer
In addition to scheduling more fights and renegotiating her contract, Andrade worked for a while as an adult performer on a notorious website. She is not arrogant about it.
You know what, I never liked doing that kind of thing. For me, it was simply too much. I experienced maltreatment as a child and have certain childhood traumas. I had the same feeling after doing that. as if I had no hands. I had no response. When do you know you’re frozen? It brought back a lot of my trauma. I was unable to decline. I never intended to work for OnlyFans. I detested it. I had never discussed (being mistreated). Only those closest to me were aware. Now, everyone on the planet will know. Things are fine. I was severely traumatized by it, and I was unsure of how to refuse. My first photo leak was a major setback. Though I wasn’t, I had to act like I was.
She said, “That’s why I did it (for money).” The individual managing my finances was someone I didn’t know. I would be told to leave it to me, and I would take care of it. You’ll experience no issues. I’m quite skilled at using this. I was then screwed. It’s a result of my previous marriage. She was in charge of everything, including the finances. The funds then ran out. And what would I do? She refused to accept that we were out of money and that she would have to work to support herself. In the US, your options are limited to working or being unemployed.
No bouts were scheduled for me. I had numerous bills to settle. “Let’s start” (performing internet sex job), she said. I stated that I didn’t want to do those things. I’ve told her for ever. Even shooting pictures in my swimsuit bothers me. I said, “I’m going to wear lingerie, even though I haven’t worn underwear since I was 13?” She forced me to wear panties, nevertheless. After then, it simply grew worse. The eyes became larger as the money began to flow in. You ultimately give up to things that aren’t authentically you.
Although Andrade’s 2011 in-octagon romantic proposal marked the beginning of the marriage, there were undoubtedly some unhappy moments.
Andrade is currently 1-3 in her busy 2023 campaign after losing three straight fights.
Mackenzie Dern also paying for a bitter split
Mackenzie Dern, her opponent at UFC 295, is also coping with some costly and agonizing aspects of life after an acrimonious divorce and custody dispute with her ex-husband, pro surfer Wesley Santos.
During the media day for UFC 295, Dern stated, “I realized we always had problems.” Only the strain. I went through a divorce with the last one. Even when the divorce is complete, you may not be aware of all the consequences. This whole fight is literally still paying my former partner. It’s absurd that you have to punch me in the face while working so hard and doing all of this, and you also have to pay a significant amount of money for it.
Money is something, whatever, I’ll battle for it here. Whether we win or lose, everything will be handled. I’ll get more [money] and have other things, but those are simply issues.
Dern’s ability to successfully navigate the Octagon despite her personal and legal issues has been her one bright spot.In her most recent appearance, Dern gave a Fight of the Night performance that mostly targeted Angela Hill.
I was letting my hair down, Dern chuckled. Naturally, emotion isn’t the sole factor. I felt inspired. I had to prevail. I required an extra. I needed all the money I could get because of everything I was going through, the [divorce]. Along with my will to triumph because I had just suffered a setback. I was expressing all of my fury, yet in this camp, I also changed.
You know, I don’t want people to think that during the argument, I was just angry and let it all out on Angela. Now that I know more about [the sport], I truly do. I wouldn’t describe this conflict as a new Mackenzie; rather, it’s an evolved Mackenzie, driven by everything I’m going through, including my divorce and my ex-husband.
