UFC 295 will be Jessica Andrade s fifth fight of 2023

Strawweights Jessica Andrade and Mackenzie Dern, who are preparing for their fight in the Octagon despite having gone through difficult divorces, will square off in UFC 295’s main event.

In an interview with Troca o Francapodcast, Andrade candidly discussed the factors driving her rigorous fighting schedule in 2023, which culminated at UFC 295.

According to Andrade on the MMA Fighting sTroca o Francapodcast, “I ended up taking five fights this year because I had my divorce, which has taken a lot of my money in paying for lawyers and things here and there.” With God’s blessing, it will end this year, and I’ll be all right. Due to that and the divorce, I got into five fights in 2023. There is too much red tape in Brazil, which is why I had to spend a lot of money on attorneys.

Andrade has already discussed the effects of her divorce on her finances.

He disclosed earlier this year that Jessica was compensated in advance by the UFC to assist her in resolving a challenging financial circumstance stemming from her divorce and her ex-wife’s mismanagement of her finances.

Andrade did a stint as an adult performer

In addition to renegotiating her contract and scheduling more fights, Andrade also worked as an adult performer on a notorious website for a while. She doesn’t take pride in it.

Can you believe that I never like doing that kind of thing? I found it to be far too much. I was abused as a child and experienced some trauma. That’s how I felt when I did that. As if my hands were bound. Nothing came of it. Do you know when you get stuck? It made me think back to my tragedy. No was an option for me. This OnlyFans thing is something I never intended to do. I despised it. I’d never discussed (being abused). It was only known to those closest to me. Now, the entire globe will be aware of it. Everything is OK. My experience with it was quite traumatic, and I was unsure of how to refuse. It was awful when my first set of photos went viral. I was not well, but I had to act like it.

I did that (for money), that’s why, she said. The person managing my money is someone I don’t know. I would hear the individual say, “Leave it to me, and I’ll take care of it.” There won’t be any issues. I have a lot of experience using this. And then I was screwed. My previous marriage is to blame. She handled the money, she handled everything. Finally, the funds ran out. How was I going to respond? She refused to accept that she would have to work for a living and that we would run out of money. In the United States, you have two options: you work or you get screwed.

My battle schedule was empty. I had a ton of bills to settle. So she remarked, “Let’s get started” with the internet sex work. I expressed that I didn’t want to do that stuff. Every time, I’ve told her. I even dislike wearing a bikini for pictures. I remarked, “I’ve not worn underwear since I was thirteen; why am I wearing lingerie now?” I mean, she forced me to wear panties. After then, things only became worse. The eyes grew larger when the money started to roll in. In the end, you give in to things that aren’t really you.

After Andrade’s passionate in-octagon proposal in 2011, the marriage undoubtedly had its unhappy moments.

In her hectic 2023 schedule, Andrade has dropped her last three fights and is at 1-3.

Mackenzie Dern also paying for a bitter split

Following an unpleasant breakup and custody dispute with her ex-husband, pro surfer Wesley Santos, Mackenzie Dern, her opponent at UFC 295, is also coping with some costly and agonizing realities of the human condition.

During UFC 295 media day, Dern stated, “I realized we always have problems.” The pressure alone. With the previous one, I went through a divorce. Even when the divorce is complete, you may be surprised by the extent of its aftereffects. I mean, my ex is still getting paid for this whole fight. It’s absurd that you have to put in so much effort and work so hard, and yet you still have to pay that much for anything while I get punched in the face.

I’ll battle here to obtain it, money is something, anything. Everything will be handled whether we win or lose. It’s simply issues, but I’ll make more [money] and stuff like that.

Dern’s ability to turn her personal and legal frustrations into triumph inside the Octagon has been her one bright light. In her most recent appearance, Angela Hill took the brunt of Dern’s Fight of the Night performance.

Dern laughed and added, “I was letting my anger out.” Of course, it’s more than just feelings. I felt driven. I had to triumph. I required a benefit. Due to all I was going through, including the [divorce], I needed all the money I could obtain. In addition, since I was coming off a defeat, there was my want to win. I was expressing my fury, but I also changed at this camp.

I don’t want anyone to believe that during the fight, I was just angry and let it all out on Angela, you know? I now really understand [the sport] better. My ex-husband, the divorce, and everything else I’m going through served as my motivation for this struggle, but people can see that I wouldn’t describe it as a new Mackenzie—rather, an evolved Mackenzie.

At UFC 295 on Saturday, we’ll find out which woman can conquer her inner demons.
