The charming romantic comedy sh jo manga My Love Story!! by Kazune Kawahara and Aruko is scheduled to make a brief return with two much anticipated chapters in the next January edition of Shueisha’s Bessatsu Margaret magazine. The story, which is slated for release on December 13, follows our characters as they take part-time jobs in a resort during winter break and come across an enigmatic mansion.

The magazine teases the next chapters’ plot, stating that everyone begins a part-time work at a resort during college winter break, but there seems to be a strange home. This is the first time the series has been seen since its 2018 side story.

The story was first published in its original 100 pages in the October 2011 edition of Bessatsu Margaret Sister by Kawahara, who then serialized it in Bessatsu Margaret. After the manga’s run ended in July 2016, Viz Media released all 13 volumes in North America.

My Love Story: An Account of It! centers on Takeo G da, a massive person with an equally enormous heart. Even though he has wonderful traits, Sunakawa, his attractive closest buddy, is preferred by the girls around him. Takeo, who is used to living on the periphery, experiences a sudden change in fortune when he bravely protects Yamato, a girl, from a train harasser.

Due to the manga’s widespread appeal, a live-action movie was released in October 2015 and a television anime adaptation debuted in April. The anime series was later released on home video with an English dub by Sentai Filmworks. For a two-chapter manga titled Uso ka Makoto ka Yume ka Koi (Is This Love a Lie, the Truth, or a Dream?), the creative team reunited in October 2022.

You could find Fruits Basket to be just as enjoyable as My Love Story!! if you liked the tender romance and character development there. Both manga series explore the intricacies of romantic relationships and showcase distinct personalities and well-rounded characters.Fruits Basket offers a deeper level of meaning to the poignant narrative that fans of My Love Story!! may enjoy. It also incorporates fantasy elements and delves into themes of acceptance and self-discovery.

The dynamic team behind My Love Story!!, Wataru Hinekure and Aruko, started a new project in June 2019 with the publication of the manga My Love Mix-Up! (Kieta Hatsukoi) in Shueisha’s Bessatsu Margaret magazine. The manga is presently available in English through Viz Media and will conclude with nine volumes in June 2022. Due to the manga’s popularity, a live-action series in Japan debuted in October 2021, and a Thai version is scheduled to appear in 2024.
