In the short but intense main event of UFC 295 between Jiri Prochazka and Alex Periera, a new light heavyweight champion was established.
Because of how convincing Pereira’s victory was, some commentators said that the Brazilian fighter is headed straight for the UFC Hall of Fame.
Deadly Elbows While most fighters chase greatness for the rest of their careers, Pereira has managed to ensnare it twice in a two-year period, according to Evan Zivin. That’s either a testament to the man’s greatness or a reflection of how weak and fragile the two MMAweight classes he fights in are at the moment.
Jamahal Hill not impressed by UFC s new LHW champ
However, not everybody is enjoying Pereira’s success.
Alright, murmured Jamahal Hills from his seat by the cage. Hey, I could care less. You all know where the true crown is, regardless of who it is. It’s located here. Clap.
Prior to tearing his Achilles tendon during this year’s International Fight Week during a pickup basketball match featuring the UFC, Hill was the champion.
In the immediate wake of Hill’s injury, Ariel Helwani and Jiri Prochazka had several conversations.
Hill went on to threaten the top journalist at MMA because he didn’t like the way that conversation was going.
First of all, everyone is familiar with Ariel—the nerdy, silly, cute, punk guy who has repeatedly said, “Oh, I wouldn’t fight.” I refused to fight. I doubt I would have the courage. What if someone acts violently, as if they were someone’s grandmother or something?
Has the audacity to treat the boxers on the show disrespectfully while professing to be a true journalist who represents the fighters, is here for the fighters, and is all about the fighters and this and that. And this is how you eat, right? The guys who can do the one thing you can never do, put food on your table. through our actions. Thus, this video serves as just another illustration of the disdain that punks like this show us fighters.
Jamahal Hill trapped in bus by protestors
Jamahal Hill made news this week despite not being in a fight.
Hill was able to enter the center of a demonstration demanding an end to hostilities in Gaza.
When we noticed the approaching procession of people and all of these flags, we thought, “Oh, man.” In an interview with MMA Junkie, Brian Butler, the manager of Hill, stated, “We’re about to get stuck in this.” “Go, step on the gas,” was what everyone were shouting. Apply the gas. We were in the front, so people began to trickle over. Their curiosity, maybe piqued by the sight of the large Sprinter van, led them to approach and place placards and other items on the window.
When they peered inside and saw that UFC security was present, they realized that, well, UFC personnel. Subsequently, people began expressing opinions like to those of a mob mentality. Nothing save the overwhelming intensity that pervaded everything. People in the UFC are bitches, this and that, it was said.
Then Jamahal became rather enraged by that. Jamahal became red, so trying to calm him down proved difficult. But things soon began to get worse. From nothing, the entire car was encircled and being pounded. After the windows began shattering, Jamahal claimed to have witnessed someone grabbing a knife and slashing all of our tires. Though it didn’t end badly, it could have been a very horrible situation. I must admit that the UFC personnel and security were excellent. Our fellow bus passengers were phoning for assistance.
Luckily, everything subsided, and Hill managed to be at Madison Square Garden just in time to witness Alex Pereira defeat Jiri Prochazka.
