It was disclosed in the most recent edition of Kodansha’s Bessatsu Friend magazine that Yuu Saiki’s manga, Yamaguchi-kun Isn’t So Bad (Yamaguchi-kun wa Warukunai), will print every two months starting in the February issue and continuing for seven months.

The manga triumphantly returned in July of this year, after a maternity leave-related break in June 2022.

The manga’s English digital publication is handled by Kodansha USA Publishing, which provides the following description:

The shy Satsuki Shinohara, who nearly failed her grand high school debut due to a train pervert, finds an unexpected rescuer in Yamaguchi-kun, the class bully.

Satsuki is determined to approach him despite his negative reputation among peers, but he consistently escapes her grasp. She is determined to show that Yamaguchi-kun is much more than what first appears, and she is undeterred by the challenge.

You might get a lot of enjoyment from reading the original Haikyuu!! series if you like Yamaguchi-kun, a manga that centers on Yamaguchi from the well-known sports manga Haikyuu!!. Both manga offer exciting and furious sports action combined with gripping character development, all set in a high school volleyball setting. With its broad cast of characters, each with their own difficulties and talents, Haikyuu!! creates an engrossing story that transcends the experiences of its individual players.

Since Saiki started the manga in Bessatsu Friend in 2019, Kodansha has published seven volumes of the series. As of June 2022. December 2022 saw the release of the seventh book in English by Kodansha USA Publishing.
