Dan Hooker Forced Out of Fight with Bobby Green Due to Arm Injury

Monday saw UFC Austin take a hit as Christopher Reive of The New Zealand Herald reported that Dan Hooker was removed from his fight with Bobby Green due to an arm injury. This was the same arm that the ‘Hangman’ broke during a Fight of the Night contender against Jalin Turner at UFC 290 in July. After undergoing surgery, Hooker had been on the mend and had scheduled his fight with Green, only for it to be dashed away in one of his last sparring sessions.

Injury Occurred During Sparring Session

In an interview with Submission Radio, Hooker revealed that he had broken his arm again after an attempt to block a kick went wrong. He commented, “Yeah, just sparring yesterday. Bro, one of those things. I blocked a thousand kicks in the last couple of months and just one hit on the right spot and it just, yeah. It is what it is.”

Conclusion

It is unfortunate that Dan Hooker has been forced to step away from his fight with Bobby Green due to an arm injury. The ‘Hangman’ had been recovering from the same arm injury he sustained in July, but it appears that a sparring session has led to a setback.
